Dave and Mary Morris are high school sweethearts and best friends. As parents of two sons and grandparents to 7 little sweeties, their family is their pride and joy.
Dave spent twenty years in the United States Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force, he taught middle and high school for seven years and worked in the logistics industry. Mary spent numerous years in the IT and Human Resources fields. She was also a professional calligrapher for several years.
Dave and Mary’s online career quietly began in December of 2008 when they embarked on creating a niche website about front porch ideas – something they both love. While working as a full-time Project Manager for the State of TN, Mary would come home from her day job and put in long hours in the evening to work with Dave – at their kitchen table – on their website. After 18 months and many hours of hard work, their website was earning enough income to allow Mary to leave the corporate world forever.
Today they have the flexibility to work from just about anywhere on their website. It’s the most fun work they have ever done and they love waking up to go to work at their kitchen table. Their story is all about passion, persistence and an amazing partnership – plus many hours of just plain hard work.
