Kristen Eckstein

Kristen Eckstein started writing when she was five years old, started her first business at age six and read her first “adult” level novel when she was nine. Her need for books and entrepreneurship is like her need for chocolate.

In 2003 she served as the Marketing Director for a vanity publishing company that featured a traditional publishing arm. She learned the ins and outs of vanity, subsidy and traditional publishing – what to look for, what to avoid and how to make sure authors don’t get ripped off.

When she left that company, she co-founded Imagine! Studios, LLC, an art and media production company and soon began publishing authors’ books again under her own label, and she published her third book. A relocation caused her to hand that portion of the business off to another capable publisher and she began her next role as a publishing consultant.

In 2009 she wrote her fourth book in 3 1/2 days. In 2011 she wrote and published 21 Ways to Write and Publish Your Non-Fiction Book and 21 Ways to Powerfully Network Your Business, the first in a series of “no fluff” guidebooks. In winter 2011, her company began licensing the “21 Ways” series and published two more books by other authors, with a total of 15 planned for 2012.

Her reputation is to “suck” books out of people’s heads and get them into print. She has helped dozens of authors independently publish, including Felicia Slattery, Bob The Teacher Jenkins, Dr. Daisy Sutherland, and Carrie Wilkerson.
