One of the things I love about NAMS is the willingness of instructors and attendees to share their expertise and experiences. You can always find someone out in the hallway or at the bar who has an interesting conversation going on! I have many written "follow-up to-do's" on my list. I'm to the point in my business that the "little gems" or "little tweaks" are the things that benefit me the most. Here are 3 I picked up and have implemented since NAMS6.
1. Promoting my blog posts more. This is a "little gem" I heard from Nicole Dean - that her practice is to promote the hell (my words, not hers, ha!) out of her blog posts. I haven't been doing an effective job of that - I post plenty, but don't really promote that posts with very many social media resources. So I've set up a matrix now and am following Nicole's advice.
2. Another "little gem" I got from Nicole is to be the "connector" to the product or service you are promoting and let the existing sales page finish up the selling job. I realized I was spending too much time basically writing my own sales copy on top of what the affiliate's sales page already does. I needed to fine tune my writing to the relationships and getting the click-through, and let the seller's sales copy do its work. I've definitely changed my writing, and I've already seen an increase in affiliate sales as a result. (Thanks, Nicole!)
3. I learn from everyone I listen to at NAMS, but I have to admit Paul Evans is one of my fav people to sit in on. This year he talked about his "4 M's" (you know he loves that alliteration) and while I was sitting there listening to him I got a huge "aha" idea for the coaching end of my business, wrote it out, and have already started building the continuity program. I'm excited to get it in place and see how Paul's "4 M's" work.
I could go on, for sure! I'd love to hear other people's 3 Big Take-Aways from NAMS6.
