Did you know there’s an epidemic going on right now that could completely wipe out your business?

Did you know there’s an epidemic going on right now that could completely wipe out your business?

[my_smart_list id=12]

And it’s really bad… That’s why we’re having this emergency webinar with our security expert, good friend and all-round life-saver – Regina Smola!

And she’s brought reinforcements.

So, here’s the scenario. You click on your domain and all you get is a blank page.

You called your hosting company only to find that the backups they had did not include the entire site or maybe they were even corrupt. Doesn’t matter. You signed a liability waiver when you signed up with your host. And now, you’re without a business.

What happened? A hacker got in your site and deleted the site completely.

And why? Cause they could.

There are many things to do to protect yourself. And we’re going to talk about those plus how you can actually ensure that you always have the right backups every time.

Webinar: Why you’re playing Russian Roulette with your website…
Hosted by David Perdew
Speakers: Regina Smola of WP Security Lock and Josh Benham of Ithemes
Date: Tuesday, March 4, 2014
Time: 7pm CST / 8pm EST

This is incredibly important!

You probably think you have backups of your site. So did Regina’s new clients who thought they were backed up only to find their site was deleted by hackers and they had no recourse, no backup.

In this webinar, you’ll see real case studies of clients who have lost entire businesses when they thought the host was covering their backups. It’s an epidemic right now. Hackers are logging in and deleting websites completely. If you’re not backed up properly, your entire business is gone.

This is an EMERGENCY webinar in response to massive hacking activity right now…

Get on this call with Security Expert Regina Smola and her surprise guest expert, plugin developer Josh Benham from iThemes.

Where’s My Stuff?

By David Perdew Leave a Comment

The question most often asked by people new to MyNAMS is:

Where's My Stuff?

So, you've purchased one of our training products, or perhaps our MyNAMS Total Business System. How the heck do you access it?

This is a mega site. We have 400+ products. And we create 6 to 10 new training products each month.

Wouldn't it be nice if you can could access all of that in one spot instead of bumping around from one thing to the next? You bet. And that's exactly what we've got - one spot. It's incredibly simple once you find the front door.

Watch this 2-minute video and stress no more 🙂

Why the MyNAMS Insiders Club is EXACTLY
what you're looking for!

MyNAMS Team

MyNAMS TEAM - You never have to work in isolation again!

The MyNAMS Team goes way beyond the staff and support personnel. We've put together a group of people who make it their mission to ensure your success. With more than 75 instructors and 100s of members, you find people who can answer your questions quickly, partner with you to create products, and build relationships that help you launch your business or take it to the next level.

We've worked diligently to ensure you have the ability to communicate with us, instructors, and peers (at your own experience level) in a safe environment and find the right mentors or coaches just for you. We make the introductions that you want.

MyNAMS Training - Learn what you need when you need to learn it!

The MyNAMS Training system is focused on thorough step-by-step instruction with that meets you where you are. It makes no sense to teach you advanced strategies and techniques when you don't have a blog or website. And teaching you how to install a blog when you have dozens already is ridiculous. First, we determine where you are in your experience and then we point you to the right level of training that will enhance your business experience from Novice to Advanced.

Yes! We teach marketing, traffic generation, technology, keyword research and much more, but only when you're ready. And if you need help just getting the technical aspects of doing business online, we have more than 1300 tutorial videos in the Library.

Look for the icon at the left in the benefits grid to see the specific training options we offer.

icontools200

MyNAMS Tools - Content, graphics, audio, checklists - we've got it for you!

The MyNAMS Tool belt comes with just about everything you need to get a business up and running. In fact, you can be selling products from the Niche Mall even if you've never sold anything before and don't have a website. One of the most frustrating parts about doing business online is realizing you have to nickel and dime yourself to bankrupcy before you can actually get a site up. Not with us.

We provide you graphics, article content, images, audio clips, reports, sales funnels, turnkey websites, and even adsense website portals so you can begin immediately to create or improve your business with confidence that you don't have to spend a ton more cash.

Why I’ll never use hostgator again!

By David Perdew 2 Comments

Why I’ll never use hostgator again!

Yesterday was very frustrating and very expensive!

Thanks Hostgator!

First, the background…

December is our second biggest revenue month of the year. Our affiliates love us big time during December (and other months too…), but we do a LOT of business in December. We take many of the best products we’ve created during the year and drop the prices for a 24-hour period significantly.

It’s called the 31 Days of December Deals. And it’s very popular, which means we get a lot of traffic. That’s a good thing as long as we’re getting a lot of conversions too…

liquidweb300x250All year long, we’ve been reinforcing our security and our infrastructure to handle tons of traffic. We’re in the top 10,000 sites consistently in the US on Alexa, so we get traffic.

We moved our major sites to Liquid Web in the summer. And have LOVED the service and the price. We moved those sites from Hostgator in late spring to Rackspace. Rackspace was really good, but really expensive. I was paying nearly $1000 per month for a dedicated server.

Liquid Web offered better pricing (a reduction of $500 per month) and almost identical hardware, and even better support.

But I kept a reseller system on Hostgator mainly for sentimental reasons and because I wanted to refer other business owners there for smaller projects. And on that reseller account, I had a domain called NAMS.ws. It’s only use is for redirect software we have from Gotrythis.

Yesterday, I was traveling. I was headed to a place where the internet grid was bad and the closest wifi spot was about 90 miles away. At 6:30 am, I had a message from Cindy Bidar, one of our technical assistants.

“Call me. The links aren’t working.”

I called Cindy. Then, I called Hostgator who said my account had been put on hold because my Gotrythis software was at 78% CPU usage.

Now, I’ve been around the block a time or two. I know that when a hosting company says, “Unlimited domains, unlimited databases, unlimited bandwidth,” that’s mostly unlimited crap. The fine print will get you.

And Hostgator wasn’t budging.

None of our links were working to any of our December Deals – remember, everything goes through a redirect link which is NAMS.ws – on Hostgator.

I believe in business boundaries. And even hard and fast rules, but I don’t believe in NOT Talking to customers before you do something drastic.

This would have been a great opportunity for them to say – “You’re getting too much traffic for your account. Can we upgrade you to the next level?” “Uh, YES!” would have been my answer.

But instead, we needed a different solution. Liquid Web to the rescue.

Regina Smola – my infrastructure saviour and technology rock – stepped in (on Saturday) and had us set up on Liquid Web in no time.

Then, it was back to Hostgator to get them to turn on the site so we could move it. That took about 6 hours – until someone who could do it came in…

Within 48 hours, everything was off of Hostgator and I’ll never look back.

What happened to them?

They used to be the standard! Everyone used Hostgator.

As with most good businesses, they get purchased by bigger companies who get mired in processes. Instead of growth (which means better products and great support), they begin looking for cost savings and more profit.

That’s the difference between entrepreneurs and large corporations. I’ve worked in both.

Liquid Web. That’s where you’ll find me.

PS: ALL of my redirect links to Hostgator for hosting will be changed to redirect to Liquid Web. I no longer recommend Hostgator for anything.
